So, I've started and finished some things, started some things, and am now working on not one, but 2 original designs!
Also, I'm using this to test something within the weebly system.

Look how much I've gotten done! I went out of state over the long weekend, and was able to knit a lot in the car. There's one mistake so far, but it still looks okay, so I'm NOT undoing rows to fix the cable. If it'd just been a knit/purl error, I'd run down the stitch and fix it, but I can't do that with cables, I'd have to completely undo several rows. Not. Happening.
I did change the pattern slightly to accomodate the way my arm gets skinnier, adding occasional decreases along the length. But other than that, it's exactly as written.

In other knitting news, my knitting bag got dirty! So everything is on pause until I get my bag that I'm designing finished.

Hehe...I can't just do ONE project...I have 3 on the needles/hooks at the moment, with 3 that I'm actively looking to figure out/start....this one is straight off a pattern: This one.
The instructions suggest a solid yarn, but that's BORING, so I'm using a multi-blue yarn called Oceana (pretty color name, no?)

Correction: I just finished the 18 st/22 row swatch, and it's absolutely correct. Now I'm in the process of casting on for the actual first gauntlet. The pattern looks pretty simple, but complex enough to hold my attention, so hopefully it won't take too long.

This scarf is made using a lace pattern stitch from the Reader's Digest guide I mentioned in my introduction. It works up fairly quickly, with 4 pattern reps across. The pattern is 8-9 stitches across and 12 rows long, and it basically produces a vine-like ridge along the fabric along with a matching double rows of lace holes.
